I went to Newton Life Church for Combined Choir practise today... though I was treading along the familiar stretch of Rail Mall with tired feet, and even more tired body, blocked nose, smell of "feng you" in my nostrils - and getting called " uncle "
( tsk so stereotype- only uncles can use fengyou meh? ha.. ) ;
i marched on like a brave soldier who is stepping right into the battle zone, armed with my songbook and my buddy and mee E E
- melody frm purple light - army song-
saw the familiar faces from yesterday..
Reverend Lee is really quite a kind man. like and egg ( hard on the outside- soft on the inside =)
Hope I can learn just 1% from his experience ha.. :)
Two other conductors are also very good.. dynamic.. can onli drop jaw.. ha..
sang quite a few songs today.. the songs really touched my heart..
my heart was filling with emotions, when i sang a song that i sang this morning during communion- Ying Ta Shi Jia - Without His Cross..
- Was it cos so many of us sang? the numbers made up the difference?
Without His tears, there is no comfort...
- Was i touched cos there was so many others like me, who believed- and like me was spending a fine sunday afternoon in that wide and tall and echoey hall - as a living sacrifice to God?
Without His Death... there is no Life
- Was i touched cos the lyrics touched me? ( cos of his tears, I am comforted.. )
Without His Blood.. there is no pardon...
- Was it the working of the Holy Spirit inside me ?
Without His Cross, there is no crown....
- Could it be that I have a "heaven- vision" - that I feel so strongly that heaven is something like this, all of us singing together, in bright shining clothing singing praise to God and giving thanks and worshipping Him in pure Joy
Without His Cross, there is no crown....
I conclude that it maybe a mixture of above- can really feel God working inside me..
Am really glad to be part of His work.. though something will be missing in heaven that I find here on Earth...
it's tears :)
